The BBC is running a Caring Matters initiative this week, but The Archers has been exploring that subject for a while so we can expect those storylines about Ambridge family members juggling busy lives with caring for elderly parents to come to the fore. Guilt, resentment and the repercussions for wider family are voiced - as well as the lighter moments closer connections can bring.

As opposed to going on quietly in the background, as they have been? Yeah, right.

I’m finding just reading the synopses is making me cringe! I did listen to Friday’s episode, however. Jolly good row!

I enjoyed that one, it almost made up for the rest of the week. Superb acting too.

I am cross, reading the synopsis for yesterday’s, that Brian ended up apologising to Kate and that she refused to accept responsibility for losing the Home Farm house.

They do that far too often after a ‘home truths’ scene - make the person telling the home truths take it all back. See Kirsty and Helen, Josh and Pip. Ian and Helen.
