RIP Edward Kelsey

eke or cadge?

Noo! That was, I think, the saddest part of the book. And I’m sure I’m not the only one who is more inclined to tears for animals; old Bartleby deserves a nice retirement, the trap can go to Josh’s website, and perhaps the funds will pay for a half of shires for Clarrie.

Bartleby should have been glue any time these past ten years. Joe too, imo.

What about Gem? She has taken over trap-duty from Bartleby during at least the past couple of years.

His sojourn chez Grundy was supposed to be his retirement.

Judging by this evening’s post-dumtedum chat, that was Joe’s last appearance - though they didn’t actually say so explicitly.

It was the last thing Kelsey recorded, but Joe may be said to be around for a while yet. Norman Painting died, and Phil was looking for a blazer in Underwoods weeks later.

We didn’t get any mawkish send-offs for Norman Painting from the BBC, either.

…but I feel that a final “braaaaaaaaap! …scooze me!” would have set off that wonderful 2½ minute sketch!
