My new best cheese friend is goat Gouda. I know we don’t all do goat cheese, but I heartily recommend to those who do.

Thank you to all. I also have a small silly present from Sudden Daughter, a 70cm x 125cm pad with each page lightly printed with one of eight different geometric shapes, called “Odd Grid Pocket” which apparently is
"Designed, printed, collated, assembled & packed by hand in small batches in Bath, UK.
"160gsm cover paper milled in France.
"120gsm inner pages printed in Britain.
"100% recycled 975gsm backing board made in the Netherlands.
“Water based padding adhesive made in Britain.”
and also a hand-painted card which is a picture of lavender in a long window-box type tub
The Norwegian branch of the family has sent a ridiculously outsize Bunch with roses and sunflowers (which I have immediately separated because roses don’t like the sap from sunflowers or chrysanthemums and die more quickly if they are sharing a vase) which has had to be divided in three to fit into the available containers.
Hedgers has provided a wooden skein winder by KnitPro, which I have coveted for a while.
