We have a wonderful organic farm shop, 2 miles from us. I popped in for a browse and came away with (amongst other things) an enormous bulb of fennel (738g). Quite how to use this up in a ‘oner’ is beyond me. Given that I have just retrieved pea and fennel soup from the freezer, to make room, I’d be grateful for any suggestions made (within reason).
Our plat du jour has been the pea and fennel soup with olive ciabatta, butter and Cinco Lanzas and Saint Augur cheeses. Oh - I added grated Grana Padano to my soup.
[yaaaaawnity] tseep. Today we have very light mist. Overcast wiv occasional post office vans. (Yer only supposed to… you get the idea. Young birds today.)
I am ‘speaking’ to you from my Laptop, as I am awaiting an 'phonecall from the Surgery , & I don’t want to miss it.
The 'phone gets very temperamental if I try to do 2 things at once…
A man has come and looked at the freezer and been very polite at the freezer and the ice-maker is now said to be working. No signs of ice as yet but that takes a while to happen.
I hope that our Chatelaine has rested well after such an arduous day. Also, that the antibiotics will prove tolerable. Best nights to Carinthia and all.
