:champagne: :champagne: :champagne: :champagne:

All credit to you for having the gumption to get through it. Slàinte mhath!

Thank you all

I just have to get used to being able to see again!

It’s a good sort of having to get used to, though.

I imagine that specs must be made suitable. Anyhoo - all hail the nearly all-seeing Twellsy!

We went to a local history society meeting, this evening. It was interesting and we met people.

I mostly like people and love to learn stuff so this evening was good, Gus. Plus - I know where the anti-sub netting was placed across the Forth.

Best nights Cellarites.

[shifty look] If you want some anti-sub netting I can do you some cheap. Fell off the back of a trawler.

Morning, Twellsy. I’m off to local M&S to buy ginger - not a lot of it around, at the moment.

I have bitten at least one bullet and got in touch with some local people who clean drives and patios, and are sending a man round on Tuesday at noon to give me a quote for giving this hovel a short back and sides I mean sorry a wash and brush-up to get rid of the moss, algae, small plants, large plants, fallen leaves, and possibly the growth on the solar panels and the embryonic pigeons’ nest under the one immediately above my bedroom, round which they thump about immediately above my head from just before sunrise onwards, going coo coo caroo caroo cuc repeatedly, until one seriously contemplates sending a large snake up onto the roof, except it would probably be too cold for a snake to be happy there.

Would ferrets be the answer? Maybe. Only then there is getting them down again, as well as keeping them from going down the chimney.

Anyway, I have taken a First Step towards fewer small leaves all over the house come in on people’s feet. We have two doormats, one inside and one outside, but still the leaves come in. I found one on the upstairs landing this morning. Perhaps for that one I should blame the cat. I shall bill the animal for what is likely to be an expensive exercise, given the extensive nature of the drive, not to mention the stoup.

Blowing an Hoolie all night & all of the day thus far, here.

Sigh

I have scraper mats outside & coir mats inside the garage at the doors here, but as I walk up the garage several times a day, to the Utiddly Room & toilet, it’s a bitovvan losing battle.

It’s Hissing it down now.

Sighs again.

May I say that a concrete drive and a terrace of stone do not inhibit leaves - especially as we have a reasonably well endowed with broad leafed trees acre of rewilded acre of bog?

As far as ridding drives/patios etc. of moss, mould, algae and lichen are concerned we thoroughly recommend ‘Wet & Forget Patio Cleaner’. Amazing stuff - SiL calls it Mank-Away and is in awe of its efficacy. Not sure about the pigeons - I suppose that with a sufficient dousing they may clear orff.

It’s brilliant stuff, Soo. Recommended for cleaning the grot orff elderly graves too.
