A h’exercising of their brains…?

yardarm
Well it’s not in the swivelly corner cupboard where me saucepans live*.
Because I just scrubbed the bugger out, not before time, and there was no ginninit. I would have noticed summat like that.
*yes, a McCormack earworm is appropriate, indeed encouraged, here
That is very lovely and practical an all that but what I could really do wiv is a couple of good scrubbers.
Not right now, though, dere Sparrer, because I have Retired, wiv Tea and optional (from his point of view) grubby-footed cat.
Ooo gin
Goody - that will wash bacon butties down nicely
There should of course be a pristine one hung on a nail over the sink…
Ay, 'tes prettier nor apple-blooth, my liddle mop.
I have tried and tried, but I can’t understand ‘apple-blooth’. Prolly one of the many reasons why I am useless at answering quiz questions that are without my likely ken. I know - I am a bee with a buzz in me bonnet, but why expect everyone to watch the ruddy telly all the ruddy time? And know the theme tunes of anything other than Z Cars, Dixon of Dock Green or The Prisoner, for example? And…why no questions on TA?
Anyhoo. On our return homewards from various errands, we spotted a frog, hopping across our main road. Naturally we pulled in and Mr Bee picked the hapless creature up and deposited it in one of the cup wells for me to apply my hand as a lid. Easier said than done, I can tell you, as this was one energetic and strong frog. We managed to drive close to a local pond and Mr Bee deposited him, gently, to be closer to safety. Had it been autumn, we’d have assumed he was a leaf and prolly squished him. I hope that he finds his mates.

It be fake yokelish from that wondrous book Cold Comfort Farm, that it do be.
(I assume “blossom”.)
Because that’s what many of their entrants do? Because that’s what they do?
Blossom - of course. Ye’d think a bee would know that. I need to retrieve CCF for a re-read.
I am The Wrong Sort of Entrant, then.

The Dog has just got a whiff of me pipe and curled her lip. Some hounds…
It seems that you are providing That Hound with olfactory delights abounding, Hedgers. Erm, well done, forra Spadger.
On our wanderings around Belsay Hall Estate, yesterday, we came across two Italian Greyhounds, a bit like these:
As ever, we asked their owners if they would mind us touching their Dogs and we were informed that one of them was a bit wary of strangers. Happily that wasn’t the case, as they both made a fuss ovvus and were totally adorable. Happy sigh.
For how long do you have That Hound, Fishly-Dunnocks? I need vicarious Doggy happenings, y’know.

We were told 2nd June…
Speaking of olfactory delights abounding:
Today she ate all her food after the first walk of the day, a mixture of her old duck-and-rice feed, the fish-and-potato and fish-and-rice; this evening after the second walk I gave her nothing but the duck-and-rice pellets but I livened them up with a spoonful of bolognese sauce because we were having spag bol, and she ate the lot in record time.
And she has revealed a total adoration of smelly blue cheese. I had never seen her drool before, but when I offered her a minute piece of the smelliest one of the four we bought at the weekend, she did drool before taking it delicately from my finger. It was a tiny discreet drool, but it was definitely there.
