Vodka ‘n’ bouillon?

I have a bruise on each arm and a pretty bruise on my hand where blood was eventually drilled down to blood
Normal for me
Gawds - I remember that. When I was in hospital they had fierce trouble getting bloods, which, since I was getting them taken daily, was not a lot of fun. The record was five different people (two nurses, a junior doctor, a consultant and finally an anaesthetist) trying on the same day. I was also on a drip—often two—for a few weeks.
I came home looking like I’d just walked off the set of a particularly enthusiastic staging of Trainspotting.
I would imagine that’s seared into yer memory, Joe
Have you completely recovered ?
Proffers Medicinal, just in case…

We have had a prolonged power outage, azz they say. Probably due to all of the fecking building w#rk happening all around us. The worst ovvit, for me, was that I was having a 'phone conversation with a friend who is mourning another friend. He doesn’t have a mobile 'phone, so we had to wait until power was restored to agree that we’ll regroup tomorrow, once he’s sorted out his saltwater fish.
Mexican lentil burgers are now possible - yay! I don’t expect you all to be clamouring at the beely door ![]()

Oh, and also commiserations for the embuggerance.
Pretty much, apart from still having a sodding great hole in me ankle - though that is healing fairly rapidly, I’m told. The long side is now shorter than the short side was when I was discharged, if that makes any sense? Hmm—reading it again, it probably doesn’t. It was 9 x 5.5 cm, it’s now 4.4 x 1.4 — which is very good, apparently since it’s only been 13 weeks. I have no idea—it’s not an area where I’m particularly anxious to do any further research (at least, not quite so directly).
What is it that’s shorter, Joe ?
Oi - behave!
(You’ll note I didn’t actually specify how you were to behave…)
Try serving them with Alphabetti Spaghetti - lexical mental burgers
You behave an’ all.
I am kertwoinging two perfectly formed and tasty lentil burgers to Gus. She knows how to treat a bee.
I am glad that your ankle continues to heal, joe. That wozza hell of an embuggerance. I’ll make you some lexical mental burgers, one day ![]()
Have a pic of our Christmas candle - which is still going strong, despite being lit every evening we are home for dinner:

Fielded, with thanks
Did you receive the spicy green beans, Gus? I should have warned you…
Soo xx
I did, although att first I assumed the unusual precipitation was a Plague of Extruded Frog…
Did I mention that I finally polished off the remains of the Christmas cake at the beginning of April? Admittedly, it didn’t get cut until after I got home, but it was still remarkably well-preserved and boozy (unlike me, despite using much the same approach). This year’s is going to be made round about Halloween, I reckon—it definitely benefits from a decent maturation time.
That’s very good, Joe
Have just ditched some wildly out of date Medical Manuka Honey which, along with Silver Dressings & Seaweed Tape was used on my Father

Azz I explained, Gus, we ensure gentle depositing of all frogs. No extruding, on our watch! The beans have attitude, mind.
Rich fruit cakes are always better for the waiting, joe. That’s why a good friend makes us one, every year, because:
a) I’d forget and
b) I’m a shoite baker

Gujerati sem, by any chance? They definitely do, thanks to liberal use of crushed dried chillies…
Bang on, Gus. I am very liberal with the dried chillies and they go very well with the lentil burgers, which are enlivened by chilli purée and cayenne. Good for the metabolism, I believe.
Himself is waiting to watch some trashy tv. Back later (lucky old yous).
