I would if I could but sadly…

I can hear one whistle from where I sit* or I will very shortly, first train leaves at 10am.

  • The line is about a mile away but those whistles are v loud and it’s quiet here.

I was brought up in a town with a huge Locomotive Works (Horwich, near Bolton). They had once built steam engines but by my youth it was a carriage building & re-burbishment factory. Our estate backed onto the place and by deft moving of loose fencing we wrte able to play on our own, full scale, railway set

Running on carriage roofs, leaping the gaps. Hide & seek a-la Miss Marple & Hitchcock movies. Using a pump-train on the lines. Tying Rosemary Brownlow to a line and deciding not to rescue her (she may still be there). Tremendous fun.

Oh dear, what a sick &/or sorry lot we are in here today. Healing and sympathetic vibes for Twellsy and anyone else who needs them.

Oh dear, Twellsy. Rotten for you.

Those should help a bit with the problem, if they don’t bounce

My word it’s just a tad on the damp side here. (Two inches deep at the edge of the car park.)

I worry about allovus, tbh. Less so about me, tbf, as I have some control over my well-being
Have written a menu plan for the week which means that shopping must happen. Yuk - it’s cool and raining. Meh.

I mean that I can’t control you lot, but have a reasonable stab at controlling me.

Stabbing is prolly an error, tbh. Unless they really deserve it.
