It is a very ordinary roof-tree, tiles all the way up to the flashing capped by ridge-tiles, which were re-laid when the other half of the roof was replaced a couple of years ago.

urrrrk. The Ma now updated on yesterday’s excitements. Some h%usew%rk done (not so’s a stranger would notice, mind) and a certain amount of rattling round in the kitchen and I am, to use a technical term, completely buggered. Ooof.
Annenormous Beer would be just the thing right now. And some of those lovely little ‘Finished yer meal, have yer?’ sugared fennel-seed whatnots for the cat. Who is on next door’s wall and, I imagine, farting mightily. Cats don’t DO cabbage. Normally.

One of the Darlings’ rabbits used to eat curry, according to the neighbour who looked after them in the school holidays.
In fact it ate ‘Bluddy Curry’ according to Beryl, who didn’t touch the stuff herself…
Some cooked Steak & Kidney has been found in the freezer, so Pie can still happen tomorrow
