So, who wants to help ... to flummox the cellar?

Your meaning is much clearer Fishy

For clarity here the pastry is rolled out and used to line a 10" tin foil case with a cartouche of baking parchment
Singing blackbird put in place then filling glooped out round bird
Top layer draped on and the bird’s head cut free

The edges double folded over to try and keep the filling in the pie not escaping down the side of the tin!

Eggy washed and put in fridge to set up prior to cooking

I am a very sweaty old bat after that - the doctor says sweating an infection out is a good thing

I disagree!

For clarity - in the hive, pastry is never made by me. Rather, itizz bought in and I try to make fillings etc. sufficiently good that nobody cares.

I am sporting my wedding ring, suitably re-sized and Granny’s ring is to have careful alteration by the Jeweller. The denizens of Morpeth are much more careful with regard to mask-wearing/social distancing than we have come to dread, so it was a pleasant afternoon.

How’s the bonce, Fishers?

I think the best description is “as well as can be expected”. Being fair, it’s been less than a week since the impact.

“Not leaking” is a good start, I feel.

Vampire-proofing has occurred, courtesy of poulet aux quarante* gousses d’ail. It might even work. No other bugger will come near me, that’s for sure ;- )

It’s am up for vampire proofing

I have a huge bulb of nelephantine garlic and half a bulb of the stuff

I like garlic but that’s a bit of a facer for even me

200g cloves are quite a big amount of garlic
