So, who wants to help ... to flummox the cellar?

I shall - go me, the bee

Time for bed, so I wish all Cellarites the best sleep possible.

It is one of my fondest dreams that we all get together and have a wonderful couple of days with good company gin and beer and food

But with bluddy corvids running rampant I will make do with seeing you in my mind’s eye

For now!

Thinking geographically TFM would be the most central I think…

You’ll have to be quick before the island disappears under the Irish Sea, given the amount of rain we have at the moment and have had for the last 3 days. Our road has turned into a small river.

Why do you think I live at the top of a hill?

We get a lot of rain - 100 inches a year in a dry year!

Just been onto Etsy looking for ideas for G for Christmas

This popped up!

I don’t know anything about G but I’m pretty sure they don’t want that for Christmas

I have not clicked on this and have no intention but doing so but I can’t help wondering…

personalised how, exactly? I am trying so hard not to think in terms of ā€˜send us a photograph’. Or worse,a wax mould or something.

I’d rather have this, found while looking for calendars:

Yeah: a mere two hundred miles plus ferry…

Ahem. We do have an airport y’know. We’ve caught up at least as far as the 1950s now.

Is it still the only airport in the world with a steam railway service?

Yebbut, yebbut, don’t you remember the variety and magnificence of the indigenous sandwiches as detailed by TFM in a previous cellar? (Looks rather scenic in places, too.)

And if I were allowed to fly, how useful that would be.

I’ve no idea if it is the only one but the airport does have a request stop on the steam railway. And the trains always run dead on time*.

*Comments that CoMin have a lot in common with Hitler may well have some validity, in more ways than one.

Ah, the boat is is then. On the plus side the Ben my Chree has a well stocked bar and serves a passable cooked breakfast.

So, more or less mid-way indeed! Somewhat over 170 miles plus ferry from west Clare, probably a similar ferry distance from Dublin Port. OK, we too have one of those airport things quite nearby but would probably have to go via Vladivostok (or possibly Krakow) to get to IoM :japanese_ogre:
