So, who wants to help ... to flummox the cellar?

Booked my booster for Wednesday at…
Oh.
I have noted booking ref, postcode and date but, usefully, not the time.

Muppet.

Celebrating here, I had a Tesco delivery this morning and wasn’t holding out much hope because the boat sailed to Heysham twice yesterday and twice returned without its precious cargo of Tesco containers, having failed to dock due to thick fog - but I still got everything I ordered. It’s a miracle, I tell you!

I do feel sorry though for the poor sods who are so determined to get across for Christmas that they have now been on board for 36 hours, and there is no guarantee they’ll be able to disembark on this third attempt cos it is still very foggy.

So the gin cellar is restocked TFM?

There was an occasion on which there was a convention on Jersey and one of the ferries took thirty-six hours to dock and was running out of food. One of our idiot delegates had been refusing to admit he was diabetic (why? It’s not exactly something to be ashamed of, is it?) and was in a bit of a bad way when they finally did manage to deliver him to the hotel.

I got a small amount of food as well.

What a very silly person.

Here’s the fog at this end btw…

There’s a town and a bay under that.

I was once on a cross-channel ferry for a weekend trip that went a bit like that. By the end of the second day it was so bad people were drinking Britvic.

I have just made 3 dozen mint spies to take with me to share at the village’s fundraiser for a palliative care charity

We will be going to park at our next door neighbour’s house at the end of our road and watch the tractor run

Tractors all decorated and lit up with fairy lights as a bit of fun to raise money and brighten the village through the dark nights

So I have mint spies to offer and share with the neighbours

We as all keeping our distance and being careful so sitting on the tailgate of our car and sharing is our party time!

Oh yes. If you’ve noted the booking ref correctly, like wot I did manage to do.

Thank goodness for that. I trust and hope it is at a reasonably godly hour, as opposed to an ungodly one like the plumber we are expecting on Monday possibly at eight am?

The man is coming to service the burglar alarm in the morning, at the slightly more godly hour of 10-15, so serious shifting will have to take place.

Sunrise tomorrow is at 08:05. Oh woe is me! And he isn’t even a moonlighting plumber: just the smallest we could find.
