I don’t mind the thunder & the lightning: all for 'em as a rule. Downpour is a bit much, though, and poor Oaf is exceedingly unhappy.
Bah!

After a day of rain punctuated by downpours and causing me to close the conservatory doors over and have the stove lighted as I was freezing I am glad to see a bit of blue sky
Dear dear some of the gin got too near the storm and now it’s on the turn. (That’s how that works, right?) Drink up!

He doesn’t have the sense to come in out of the rain?

May I have a celebration?
Five years ago I was referred to the orthopod for a new knee
He has been waiting for an mri and eventually was told he would have to refer me to another hospital for the mri and he said that is a bit silly when I need the heamotology department on tap
So an x ray will suffice for him to see my knackerated knee
I’ll celebrate with you gladly, Twellsy.
for starters.

Thank you dear wee bee
I am just relieved to be getting some help for my knee
My Grandma who’s body I have inherited was confined to a wheelchair because her knees were so painful and my mother insisted that nothing could be done so refused to even ask her GP for a referral to an orthopaedic surgeon
Many years of pain caused by a stubborn woman’s refusal to see that medical matters moved on in the 30 years since she was a nurse
And a GP happy to things ride; he must take some blame.
He was unaware as Grandma was very healthy and never saw him
Sorry to read that, Twellsy.

My mother was a steamroller who was darned nearly impossible to reason with
She nearly wrecked our marriage with her interference when I was first I’ll
She even tried to take me from a bed in the neurology ward to her house so I would be safe and nursed over a clot in my brain
When I say I escaped l mean it about leaving home and building my life my way
I also will never go near my sister as I prefer not being a punchbag
I have a lovely Bull and lots of real friends so I am well off
[drip] [drip] Tseep! I don’t remember ordering rain.
