The next thing, of course, is to ask them to deliver the meds for you when the weather is vile and getting there a strain. Some places will even do that.

We popped out to do some shopping, on a high street not far away. The weather was vile (cold, rainy and windy) but we dressed appropriately and sallied forth. Having shopped, we returned to our car and it wouldn’t start. Battery competely flat, and the MOT and full service were completed on Monday. Two hours later, our emergency service (excellent) chap jump-started the car and we returned to the hive, thoroughly chilled through. New battery, tomorrow.
Thankfully, most of our dinner has been provided by the freezer apart from the padrón peppers which I’ll fry now. The rest comprises curried spinach flan and rice salad - plus a large glass of whaite for me and one of red for him. Slàinte!

Beta blockers are not one’s friend in chilly circumstances, Carinthia, ime. I was frozzed through and Mr Bee spent more time outside and was quite soggified and chilled. Still - here we are, alive and kicking and glad to be so. How went the Beer investigation?

I am shopping around for stair gates. The youngun will only be here for 5 days or so, but that’s ample time to fall down the stairs…Mr Bee is having a new battery fitted to the beloved Fiesta and then we’ll shop.
