PMSL, as the middle-aged folk say…
Gus is lightly coated in duck-fat.
Looks as though you made a good fist/claw of that…

What I’ve learned this Christmas:
1 - How to make puff pastry
2 - That 11 pm is not a good time to start making puff pastry.
Oh joe. The proper turn and rest and turn sort? You’ll have been up all bloody night with that - needy little sod, is puff.
Coo! My turn to drool - they are superb. Attajoe.
Approx 1,473 pans and dishes, coated in 17 gallons* of duck fat, washed up.
*we only did the one fowl, you see ![]()
One Imperial gallon of fluid, spread out over a square metre, will form a layer 4.5mm deep. A handy number to know in emergencies.
My skin is probably around 1.65 square metres, so where did the rest of the duck fat go? There’s only about 250ml in the bowl…
Yes, but really, you shouldn’t be mixing your units like that. We need to know how many inches deep it would be spread over a square yard, if it’s an imperial gallon you’ve been and gone and spilled. It’s just confusing otherwise.
I agree TFM
I have enough problems without trying to convert imperial units into metric so I can work out weights and measures
I am a bit tearful here
B’s wee girl is a gifted artist who won a competition for the whole of the country in her age group in the summer
I saw it and told her that I would buy it when she was ready to sell it
G had it in her shop window and I mentioned that I thought it was superb artwork
I also told B that I meant when I said I wanted to buy it
I opened my parcel from G today and found the painting ![]()

How a 13 year old captured the wellies and the rain drips on the outside of the glass is baffling to me
However I am so glad my friends ganged up on me
[yawnity] tseep! Blue skies! No frost on the gazebo! Other people’s leftovers!
I may be some time.
No desire for a bacon and sossige buttie wee birdie?
Dancing Dustbins during the night here.
I thought at one point they were on Strictly…

The Candles are lit, & in different holders today, as I am soaking the normal ones in dishwasher powder & hot water.

Been to drop a bit of ham up to H and husband
It’s getting a bit parky out there
As they are as remote as us 3 miles away makes them our neighbours
I will be making extra food and dropping it up to them as C is working their smallholding and H is confined to the house unable to stand to do anything
They are always there when we need help so it’s returning their care for us
I hope they like what I feed them in the coming weeks
