Minor Panic.
The geraniums were starting another flowering, with one plant having two stems with blossoms and one with buds, the other having a stem with nearly-open buds and one with not-open buds; they reached this point several days ago and simply stopped. They haven’t changed at all: the flowers are still flowers, they haven’t withered, but the buds haven’t come out either.
They’ve been watered because they seemed to be quite dry, but it made no difference.
Waaah?

Not enough light to bring out the blooms
Fret not they will be fine if on a warm sunny window
May I mention that we were wed 28 years ago this date?

The sun is shining on them as I type, but I can only provide sun for them when it does shine! If that’s all it is, I shan’t panic for a while.
Congratulations!

As much warm bright light as you can and then they should be setttling down for winter when they need a bit less light and water ready to slumber the season away
In Spring they get tomato food to encourage the flowers

It works well on martyrs so should encourage flowers
I am practising on my own geraniums that a friend gave me cuttings of so can appreciate the worries of keeping the gift alive
A pretty lilac one and a burgundy one

They are prolly getting used to their new larger pots, Fishy.
A drop or 2 of liquid feed in the next watering, & as light & bright a windowsill as possible so that they can be warm during the day.

If you aren’t talking to them, do. If you are, then stop it.

I did threaten to eat them earlier, just to keep them on their toes rootlets.

Kind wishes to geraniums, all.
Mr Bee saw an octopus, today and took a pic which I may post on our return to the hive should there be a clamour of interest He also photied Jupiter…
Gorgeous day, here. Not warm, by any stretch, but largely dry with some sun. Fab scallops with black pud for lunch. Off to Achiltibuie tomorrow:
Happy times.

I should have sent the essence of lunch via a pic, but I scoffed it. I feel a bit ashamed…
When do you go to Carinthia, Carinthia?

I am now pondering, perplexedly, the unusual configuration of BiL’s genitals. I think Gin might help. As a Distraction, I mean.

Nice big bolus of thin hot air, that’s wot you need. A sudden fire, for example.
