I do like Moffat. It has the most amazing sweet shop evva.

Not having a sweet tooth, it provided glorious chocolate rose and violet creams that even I can’t resist.

Ah - so can I pick your brains further? Was looking at the Star for the two nights - would you recommend it, or is there anything I ought to know? (Been caught out before by online puffery, e.g. “old-world charm” = “hasn’t been done up since the 1950s”…)

Sadly, joe, I can’t possibly advise you on accommodation as I have only ever visited from further away. The Moffat Bookshop is a find, however.
While you’re here, we bought a headlamp, which has just arrived at the hive. Aka Tonto’s Expanding Headband, it’ll come in handy, I’m sure. I seem to remember that you recommended such to Carinthia.
