Jabbed on Wednesday, and this evening my arm is red around the site and it ITCHES! But it hurts if I scratch, so I’m not. If I had Chelsea’s knack for growling, I would growl.

I’ll live… It’s just a bore, not a major problem or anything. I’m just feeling a bit sorry for myself, and I’ll get over that.

…did someone say Minnow End?

Mine still itches now, after 12 days, though the large red swelling has finally gone. The good news is that since about the fifth day it has been possible to scratch the damn thing without pain. I still feel more than usually tired too, and am getting odd muscle pains all over. It has been, without any doubt, the nastiest vaccination I’ve ever had - or is it because of having the 2 at the same time? Don’t know but I shan’t do it again.

Just hope I’m completely over it before next Weds, when I booked in for the first shingles jab.

I think an antihistamine helps a bit with the itching, might be worth a try.

Good thought. I always have some Piriton around in case of unexpected legume protein, so I’ll take one before bed. Thanks.

I definitely heard ‘Minnow End’…

Mine doesn’t itch, but I take a high dose of antihistamine every day anyway. Both arms are still painful, & I are very weary, but there is a lot going on ATM.

I am having the 2nd part of my Shingles vaccine next week.

Several “candy”-assisted concerts and murdered husbands later, I am off to bed. Boardgames, so morally improving.

(Yes, Carinthia, there is  I know you worrit.)

Don’t forget the forcibly relocated beetles, Dere. or the bleedin’ trolley, next time.

A good time, an’ beer, has been had.

ETA: the Cellar may find me Morally Improved. It will probably wear off with time and Gin.

The interval between being ambushed by an unfamiliar mirror ( ‘dear gods but I’m fat!’) and ‘sausage-an-bacon-an-mushroom-an-tomato-an-hash-browns, YAY!’ was a very creditable 15 minutes….
Happy erpity.

Not forgetting the toast and marmalade

I am worn out after yesterday

First we had the delights of respiratory tests

The a quick dash to grab some ingredients for supper and film night with friends

G and S came up and we watched “The banshees of Inishheeran”

I am certain it wasn’t intended as a comedy bit we saw too many moments of a documentary of our village life to not see the comedy

And I found that paella cooks well in the bottom oven of the range

I slept for a long time, and woke much better. I think the Piriton worked by making me not-itch while I was trying to drop off so that the dropping off was possible. So thanks again to TFM.

I can’t take Piriton, but second TFM’s idea of always having an suitable antihistamine to hand.

Sleep is good, Fishy. Get as much as you can.
