So, who wants to help ... to frivol in the cellar? (Part 2)

I couldn’t really share an exact recipe for cheese sauce, but family and friends seem to enjoy what I give them. Tonight will be cheesey vegetable bake with hasselback tatties.

We’ll be buzzing up north on Tuesday to view a house in Dalkeith and then a rental property in Peebles. Flippin’ 'eck.

Is that a Hippo I see before her?

It’s named Donkey and she seems happy enough with that

I am picturing the Nativity. And, indeed, the flight into Egypt. :hippopotamus:

Hippos have a deservedly bad reputation. Donkeys, not so much.

You’'re sure dunnocks don’t hibernate?

Dunnocks mightn’t, but it appears the rest of the Cellar does…

Not hibernating, Gus, just sporadically clearing stuff/arranging for stuff to be cleared/doing crosswords. Nowt much to say, really. Smoked salmon and fennel risotto, for tonight and a glass of Oloroso as a preprandial. Cheers!

At this time of year I always feel that I would really like to hibernate, sometimes as though I am actually doing so, except that this year is different - I’m doing fine so far.

The difference is that this time we decided not to change our clocks, we have stayed bloody-mindedly on BST. Seemed to us we can please ourselves now we’re both retired, we just have to remember that if we have an appointment at, say, 10am, we don’t turn up until 11, simple. Such a relief to know that I don’t have to face 2 weeks of feeling jet-lagged and not quite recover all winter.

One way of tackling it, TFM, and I’m pleased it works for you :hugs:

I would tend to go for GMT, on the grounds that I dislike mornings anyway.

Same. I don’t ‘get’ BST, especially as modern arable equipment seems to have very powerful w#rk lights.
