I approve.
Though, am I alone in missing the real Twiglets? The long ones that came in a box, were crunchy rather than hard, and tasted more of proper Marmite. I was all but addicted to that sort, must be decades since they disappeared.

I woulld love any sort of twiglet
Not to be found here though
Nope. Thereâs two of us at least.
(In my yoof , they had to be locked away from the family cat)
and from me, truth be told
Am I alone in missing real Marmite?
Nope!
I do miss real Twiglets but I donât recognise any difference between old and new Marmite. Whatever, Marmite is yum to me.
Had a walk by the Tweed at Traquair and am now outside of pea & ham soup with s&p croutons.
Soo xx
You could cut real Marmite with a knife; the new stuff is runny.
I really donât remember such solid Marmite, Fishers.
Soo xx
I canât detect a difference in taste from my memory, so I donât really mind.
I suspect the last twiglets I had were pre Great Change.
It was certainly a great deal more solid than it is now; it was not runny, but happened in lumps. Much easier to measure into cooking.
I agree Marmite used to be carveable and more piquant
A search tells me that the real Twiglets were made by Peek Freans and the current pretend version by Jacobâs only appeared after those were withdrawn in the 70âs.
Absolutely not!
Agree and agree. The real stuff was way better.
OMCB looks wonderful. Happy Christmas from me!

Coo!
Please tell her from me to have a Cool Yule.
She says she has plans. I shall try not to worry.
Wow! Sheâs looking fab! A very merry Christmas and a good New Year to her.
Gxx
OMCB will have been formulating plans for 96 1/4 years. I shouldnât worry, if I were you xx
Soo xx
Fixed that for youâŚ
The Fish has it right. OMCB has 96 1/4 years of formulating plans, unfortunately, I have 71 years experience of the results.
