Some of those are fabulous.
As is the manticoreâŚ
A chance remark has just reminded me of a year a while ago when there were six days between New Yearâs Eve and Twelfth Night during which my grandfather was eighty-four years old, my father was forty-two and my brother was twenty-one.
Ginger-lemon fried chicken, onion rice and pak choi seemed right for a NYD meal, so thatâs what was had.

Fennel and butterbean stew with roast potatoes and broccoli, because thatâs what I could imagine from what we had in the house. The weather is taking a turn for the chilly and should dip to -3°C, tonight. We have snow lying on the surrounding hills and remain very happy to be here (despite the, now, chest infection).

Keeping an eye on Stockport, where I plan to be this weekend. (In one of the relatively uphill bits.)
Stay warm and safe, whatever you do, Hedgers. I donât need to tell you that, of course.

Thank you, Gus. I am not really ill, just under par, a bit. But, yes - should the Beastly Thing F.R.O. speedily, Iâd be an even happier bee.

Wishing you all a very Happy New Year
Thank you, very much, Janie. The same to you, for you and all your beloveds.
