In general, the faster the better as far as I know. I thanked the Lord for the Royal Navy when my son noticed a Lump; four days from first appointment, via cancer diagnosis, to single orchidectomy. He rang up on a Wednesday and told me heād give me the bad news and the good news in that order: āIāve been diagnosed with testicular cancer, theyāre operating on Friday.ā
What this says to me is that lumpectomies are relied on too heavily. A little more lead time and it could have been one surgery, not two, for your friend. But the conservative approach is currently fashionable.
I hope the second op is successful and wish her a swift and uncomplicated recovery.
Feral has written an Thing which takes the horribly complicated Traffic England web site, pulls out some specific data, and calculates current travel time by each route between the M40 (towards the Nest) and the M6 north (towards several conventions a year). Nice and simple.
I ordered a size larger having read the reviews, & have also put a pair of gel insoles in them, so that the feets are comfortable. Gel insoles are very shock absorbing, which izzan Good Thing.
My feets are kept warm and dry courtesy of Fly London (several pairs, which have never leaked) and I lurve them.
