So, who wants to help ... to frivol in the cellar? (Part 2)

Izzit safe to bumble in?

I’ve been out for coffee with Sis and Friend, today. Tomorrow, we’ll be meeting DS (possibly DiL, too) at a half-way point down the A1 for lunch. Sunday belongs to us and Monday will be a DD, GS and Poodle day. It’s aal gan in Peebles, I can tell you! Anglesey eggs and steamed asparagus for dinner, lest anyone thinks we’ll starve.

Although, considering that the pigs outnumbered St Anthony, I do wonder who ended up eating whom in the desert.

Today I got the steps out, used them & braved the Tupperware shelves in the kitchen cupboard.
Only one item flew out, which I caught in my left hand!

I waited for the round of applause, which surely was my due, but it didn’t come, so found the very small container I wanted, & climbed down.

I may need an Little Lie Down now

Annan Medicinal

Please.

Sounds like a case for an Estonian Slammer. Or perhaps a case of Estonian Slammers.

Yesterday I received a gift of yer actual Coriander seeds*, so proper carrot & coriander soup can, & will be made.

*Now in an Tiny Tupperware container & sitting on top of the matching Tupperware container in which I store my Indian spices.

Happy Sigh

Yesterday I had fish from the fish & chip shop.
Today I will have a few of the chips with salt & my garlic mayonnaise.

I feel the need for summat warming & indulgent

We went to the black pool and braved the HQ of a crowd who deliver beer from on line ordering

We have an order in already but wanted to see their low and zero alcohol range

I also got a sample of other beers not ordered

Then we went to the huge Liffey valley shopping centre to the M&S store and got terribly exciting things like a new duvet cover and pillow cases and table mats covered in pretty bees

I got a very very fine pure merino wool shocking pink jumper and a nice linen top

The Bull got a nice fair isle style wool waistcoat and he looks so comfy in it

The sale rails were a scene from the whole nine circles of Hell so were avoided

A trip to Flying Tiger for tasting spoons and a new whisk was also had

Exciting boring old farts are us!

I need to retrieve my Tupperware from all over the house

I have a couple of boxes with my Christmas chocolate in it

The Bull has several for his chocolate and there’s several with leftovers in them in the fridge

That’s tomorrow’s fun

I have antique Tupperware, some of which I bought replacement lids for.

These days I mostly use Lock & Lock, which are cheaper, & come in an excellent range of sizes & shapes, but for small & fiddly things, the Tupperware works better.

I didn’t have the ‘gimicky’ stuff, but I used to use the Tupperware Multi Server as a rice cooker at the caravan. That was donated to a friend, who was very grateful for it.

I have gone the whole Bluddy hog now & sorted out the old biscuit tin where I keep stock cubes, powders, gels & sauces.

No steps were involved this time.

Nothing like well filed stock cubes fer promoting peace of mind.
Talking of gels, Darling, having found a rich seam of jelly crystals, up to and including pomegranate or rose flavour, I have this urge to make some jelly slice (iconic Aussie traybake involving zero actual baking). Pomegranate might be a bit too sophisticated for it, strawberry being the norm. Could it be ironic, or elevating, or something else wanky? One has to have ready & willing victims, though - it doesn’t keep like biscuits.
Ebony sends a general purr to the cellar - well, she’s here and rumbling like an idling Routemaster. Maybe it’s just fer wor Chatelaine.
Goodnight, Cellarites all
