So, who wants to help ... to frivol in the cellar? (Part 2)

Aren’t we lucky with electric?

Seven days after a storm
I hope the engineers and linesmen know how they are appreciated

And the eejits who are crying that the government should have done something sooner about the storm make me very cross

How were the government supposed to stop the worst storm in a century?

Is there an Reviving Pitcher about, please?

Posh was admitted to Orsepiddle last evening after an fraught day yesterday.

I cannot get in touch with the Orsepiddle as A&E are so busy, & there is another problem with the 'phones.

Sigh.

Poppy candle burning, here. Kindest wishes to Posh and Patrick and to you for your worries, Carinthia.

Had a lovely walk, today, in low dappled sunshine. Ended up with an occular migraine and the realisation that I should really be less of a miser and buy some decent shades. Early night fer yer bee.

Nah, it’s the unwanted bit of God’s breakfast - He doesn’t like fried eggs either.

It’s worrying

Wish us luck on a cow hunt

We are chasing the electric cow to get unhomogenised full fat proper fresh milk

Though milking parlours are rare with so many folk still minus electric

No guarantee this link will work, but nothing ventured nothing gained, give it a try:

Yes! We have just heard that contracts have been exchanged on the AB’s House, at long last. Champagne all round, I think - even though I don’t like it much.

We got real cow milk and wanted to go on the coast road home

We couldn’t as the sea wall has become the shore thanks to Eowyn

Many trees were looking sad as the wind had snapped off the crowns and left a jagged stump of a trunk

Mature trees with a metre diameter trunk!

There were also many electricity crews out and fixing wires galore

We also gave a donation to the farm our eggs come from as they lost their polytunnel which is their veg growing essential

A young couple setting out on an organic farm deserve a wee bit of help back up after a disaster in losing a vital part of their set up

I will help you by swapping you gin for your champagne

I couldn’t see you suffer!

That would probably have made me cry.

So they do, poor things. Kind of you to give it to them all the same.

As it that, I’ll happily accept, ta.

The trees that snapped seemed to be a lot of ash trees weakened by ash blight which affects many trees round here

So I think it’s a chance to plant other trees
