So, who wants to help ... to frivol in the cellar? (Part 2)

A mere 3.30 to 8.30 sleep time and a sore - very sore arthritic back from sitting in a plastic chair with zero support all day makes me a bit moany

But tea has been presented so I am a bit less disgruntled at life

The competitor who was in the protesting mood yesterday must have been certain of his case

He was happy to pay 800 euro to Motorsport Ireland to have them consider his pleas

I would squawk very very loudly at having to persuade my credit cards to part with that amount

The competitor didn’t turn a hair

At least not in my sight

Hugs always welcome

I must compose a letter of thanks to the venue of the rally HQ

It’s a wondrous place which fettles and tests hgvs for their goods vehicle certs so it is built on monstrous scale

It has hard standing for and manoeuvring space for a good 50 - 60 forty foot lorries and the family that own and run it are motor sport mad

There is a canteen and the family are determined to feed all officials and any one who looks hungry

It’s a joy to be there and be greeted with hugs and have the boss’s office turned upside down for your convenience

And as you arrive tea and coffee are brought along with a platter of scones two types of cake and worried looks in case you might like stew and potatoes to have before that

Just a small bit of something to keep you going till dinner time…

Two hours later!

I have been in gardening attire seeing if I can recognise the sun for a spot of vitamin D production

It was nice

I could manage a Sossinge, despite the stir-fry - scallops, prawns, broccoli, mangetout, mushrooms, ginger, garlic and egg noodles.

Ooh - brown bread, EM and just the one Sossinge would be grand, thank you. And some of those refreshing drinkie-wotsits. Happy sigh.

Mustardmitt that I have rather taken to the Sossinge sandwich.

Do you use readymade mustard or powder?

Ready made for easy spreading, but powder for e.g. cheese scones. Dijon ready made for dressings, usually. I could go on (as you know) but bed beckons. Good night, Carinthia and all.

I use powder in the mayonnaise I make. I will try mixing some up, as I feel that it may no longer be at full strength.

Nice crispy smoked bacon on fresh dread

With butter to melt and drup down your beak

A nice glass of gin with gin cocktail to wash it down…
