I just had a cheese & pickle roll - as you do at 03:30 - and feel the need to announce that the Aldi Branston rip-off, Bramwells, would not readily be mistaken for Branston. It’s not actively nasty, but neither is it particularly pleasant.
That is all.
Morning all
Bacon butties are made with the very best bacon and me made ketchup or HP
I cannot be bothered with dates and tamarinds to make a sort of brown sauce when a ready made proper version is ready
So
BACON BUTTIES READY FOLK
I am off to find out about the state of my lungs in the badly affected city of the knife today so it will be an interesting trip to see how the Limerick natives are behaving in the lock down!
That is a gift to treasure wee birdie
Having been on the wrong end of one of them I will use it with discretion - ie fire it at anyone who comes within a30 metres of me
Ye cods and little fishes Gus
Them there masks are NOT like what I will be wearing
I will have a proper medical mask on
As it is a private appointment I hope the Consultants’ rooms are a bit less crowded than normal
Surely a respiratory consultant would be aware of the dangers of the bluddy virus…
Standard unthinking answer: “what are you going to do, turn sick people away?”
Yes. Yes, you are. You can do it with a plan, or you can kill them off by accident after you let them all in.
All appointments are less crowded than usual Twellsy, especially as many aren’t taking place at all!
Our Orsepiddle is trying to see as many of the elderly & vulnerable as possible, for their ‘normal’ appointments & vaccinating them at the same time in an effort to reduce everyone’s risk.
Everyone is knackerated.
It’s the emergencies which Bugga up the works, even before a Pandemic
Sigh

We are waiting for a phone call to call me in to the doctors rooms
The thing about this wet weather is, everywhere I look there are…
…the footprints of a gigantic Oaf.
But never mind that: I feel a bout of cheese & marmite scones coming on.
Recipe Gus?
I am baking tomorrow for my friend - lemon drivel sponge with cream cheese frosting sandwich sort of affair seen in my Good Food magazine
Happy old bat here as her gift for B - a polished hardwood knitting ball has arrived at last
It is lovely and will go with the wallet of stitch holders cable needles and crochet hooks I got to go with it for her
She is doing me an aran jumper/cardi with wool I bought years ago
They haven’t turned out brilliantly, but I suspect the oven of being a bit slow. Have had them before, and they were v good.
Tweak the ratio of flours to take wholemeal down to 40% or so. Don’t be shy with the marmite.
A good marriage of basic brown soda and cheese scones
Perfect for G
We intend to buy a bit of shopping, tomorrow. Neither one ovvus is immunocompromised but, it seems, only one ovvus may enter the shop. Flip. It’ll have to be Mr Bee, azz he izz so much more adept at packing the bags. But I am the one who decides the weekly menu with a few additions for interest. I guess I’ll stay home and darn his socks (or order some others that can be delivered into our brown garden refuse bin, tbc).
Good nights, Cellarites.

Gin, Darling, you need Gin
And Hugs
I am drinking Whaite Waine - am knackerated, & it has been a bitovvan day
Hey Ho
Mr C was a champion class shopper, although he did come back with some oddities…
Does anyone buy a really good Pizza to bake at home? I am prey to strange fancies ATM, & would really like one
Strange
I haven’t eaten Pizza for 2 years

Bit of a middle way between cheap quick pre-made and making one’s own dough, wot is not terribly difficult really.
I think that my best bet may be a ready made bread mix to start with, & tweak it.
Am not great at kneading, these days. Today, my fingers are like 2llbs of Sossinges, as I have been wielding both vacuum cleaners

A thought, wee Bee. Both go, you shop, bring trolley to car and he packs there. He can darn his socks while he waits.
Gxx
Itizz snowing now, after raining for most of the night
I may go back to bed…

Not without a bacon butty
