This is a Great Crested Newt making a desperate leap for freedom - back over the fence.

Dear wee newt
Prolly the Patron Animal of the Cellar, all things considered.
Well, quite! It deserves more love and respect than it is being shown. Those fences are rock-solid; Mr Bee kicked one and it really didnât cowp over. Then (norty bee) he flipped the bird at where he imagined the developerâs cctv camera might be. Dearie me.
Cool. Heâs called Nigel.

Gin, Soo
I had chicken this evening, but we wonât tell that Oaf
Do newts eat chicken atall, or do they just drink?
Carinthia.xx
I fear you are mistaken, Soo. He is the newt Peason.
Gxx
I had chicken soup at lunchtime and I ate it. Ahem.
Soo xx
Yes - Peason it is!
Hurrah!
And in answer to wor Chatelaine, I donât think chicken forms part of their natural diet: takes many newts to bring one down, and theyâre not the most disciplined and cooperative of beastiesâŚ
Gxx
Aye - try them after a few weeks of corralling. Just saying.
Soo xxzz
Patron Animal, not Resident Animal, I was thinking; weâre a bit menagerieful already!
Also Lonnie would try to eat him, and then there would be Trouble.
Orf to me nest.
âOur Patron, Peasonâ? Has a ring to it.
Tseep well, Dunnock, Bee, and Cellarites all, protected by the Crest of Peason.
Permanently on the verge of unraveling, as I recall:

Am I dense or just ignorant?
Both, probably.
Good morning all, today I plan to do as little as possible.
