And I was surprised by their almost total absence, ffs.

The Ma, 87, still has brown hair - some greying, but what you see from a distance is brown. She isn’t at all smug - no dere, perish the thought - that mine, what there is ovvit, is to all intents and purposes completely grey.

DiL was drinking Prosecco, & I had Elderflower Presse

She was absolutely delighted with her present, which was cheering, as I had bought it months ago, & thought that it would suit.

The Lad was still at work when I left at about 7-15

I do love you, Dahlink. It’s a ‘collarette’ type necklace made up of fine black metal flowers with the odd sparkle. It looks like a piece of lace, & sits perfectly.

It was part of a lot of Noo costume jewellery donated to The Samaritains to raise funds.
