Sleep well, all
While having every sympathy with the young lady’s family and friends I find myself also having a thought for the young man’s family dealing with the horror of his deeds and the angry hurt that suicide brings to those left behind
It is also true that when a murder happens nearby those who have been bereaved by murder of a loved one have all their feelings of loss and the pain of unanswered questions stirred up as if it were their beloved being murdered only yesterday

Following that to https://www.worldlandscapephotographer.com/ opens up not only the six best but all the commended photographs, and many of them are stunning.
Stunning indeed. Serious goosebumps territory too, some of them.
The Hao Liu among the commendeds could be a John Martin painting.
Interesting to note the colossal preponderance of men. I wonder why that is.
I was awe struck at some of the photos but the winner is just stunning
I am lucky to have that coast as my paddling pool
In Ireland we have Ulster fries to cheer ourselves up…
P’raps they should have stuck with the gin rather than switching to whisky later on.
Ooh, a yardarm…
Just been through the outside freezer and we are dining on forgotten Dexter beef sirloin steaks with new spud tagine
I love it when a surprise like that appears - especially at the end of the month!
I now have a list to plan menus from for a week or two
Ah, The Amnesiac’s Home Companion. Pain perdu?
