So, who wants to help... to perpetuate the cellar?

Good morning, Cellarites.
I now have zero-palm-oil stock, thanks to TFM :kissing_heart:

An unexpected bonus of endless staring at the garden is that I have become expert at naming (accurately) the various narcissi Mr Bee has planted. I have to w#rk at my hosta recognition (most of them are barely a tip-ovva-leaf).

Well done with flour acquisitions. We have sufficient bread flour and yeast for another 3 loaves - no wholemeal, though.

Are you sure that’s not me, Carinthia? I’ll go quietly, if asked

How are the Eyes?

It’s about time I showered and readied myself for the day…A walk across the fields beckons.

Today I had my regular five-sneezes-a-day (that I’ve been having since October or so) all in one go just now, which was interesting and has left me a little light-headed. If I didn’t know me or them, no doubt I would be in a taking about them. Just as well not to go to the shops if I’m going to do that; people would probably faint. Or stone me. or something.

I have had a ‘nervous’ cough for as long as I can remember. It’s just there. Plus hallergies & so sneeze, usually severally, regularly. In a civilised, covered mouth, hankie available sort of way.

I try to not do it now, if out, but it’s so ingrained that I do it almost unknown. People do step back a little. I quite like the power tbh.

Mrs. Armrest does surprisingly fierce stares … at me … if out & has some proficient at handing me a tissue. Irritatingly proficient.

The five-a-day recommendation is entirely arbitrary and there is considerable international variation in target levels: in Japan, for example, the guideline is seven or eight a day.

Your regular 5 is my regular 20 -sneezes, that is

The antihistamine helps, but I have tried to train myself not to sneeze so violently whilst driving, as closing one’s eyes whilst driving is Nottan Good Thing, generally speaking

In a fit of entirely uncharacteristic refainment, I am having a cup of tea and a buttered sultana scone.

The tea is not uncharacteristic; do you generally not have buttered sultana scones?

They are by no means a daily occurrence, no; but the refained element was the timing, which dignified the event as “Afternoon Tea”.

Ooo I say hoe elegant Gus

Here I have put my order in to the butcher and he will have it ready for our neighbours to collect manana por la manana

The scribble of a list is being typed by the Bull for legibility

I hate being dependent on folk but the only thing I can do is remain isolated and try to be patient

I was chatting by phone to B and apparently a neighbour considers having friends in for tea to be isolating herself

We are not amused and B will definitely not be taking up an invitation for tea for herself and childer

B played ring the bell and run away here on her walk today

She has made peanut and chocolate cookies and wanted to drop some off for us so they were bagged and put on the windowsill and the doorbell rang

She scarpered to the end of the drive so we could wave and call friendly greetings to each other

Our shopping neighbour has got a new answering service - ten years old going on twenty

It’s nice to chat to the childer while they summon their parents

I am trying alcohol bread - I put the last of my live yeast in a bottle with an airlock with water and sugar

This makes alcohol and more yeast so I have used half of the contents of the bottle to make bread with

It is rising slowly so I will feed the bottle and pop it back in the fridge

I bloody LOVE fish-finger sarnies. On.heavily buttered self-sliced tin-loaf with an inappropriate amount of salt & a pot of tea.

For me no ketchup or even tartar sauce but be my guest. (Burp).

Meanwhile, fresh crusty loaf just out of the oven. (Still using the last of the standard strong white - enough for one more loaf after this, then on to the T65…)
