So, who wants to help... to perpetuate the cellar?

I’d have been happy with Brains, but it was a Fullers pub, so not available.

What a perfect nest.

In a lilac tree too if I’m not mistaken.

In rather short supply generally of late, from what I’ve seen.

With 4 cases of corvids in a ten mile radius from ABI office and day facility and the 2 residential homes for those not able to cope in the community form a number of reasons it would seem rather silly to expose the folk like me who depend on the charity to a nasty new disease

Sooo I am off shopping on wheels

With an interesting list of things NOT to buy as we are rallying this weekend and I am on a freeezer and fridge clear out to give em a good once a year type of clean

After shopping Bulu will be finished and I will ask B to knit him an ABI t shirt

She is waaaay better than me at making up a pattern

Though it will be a remote speaking to each other as she is determined NOT to pass any gerrrummms my way

That’s a good friend - one who puts your welfare in front of desires to sit and chat and make things together

I feel so lucky to have her as a friend

Oh, I say, this is Jolly Well Not On.

How can I prudently stock up when every other bugger has panic-bought the contents of Lidl? Aye, it’s one of those irregular ones: I am a prudent housewife, you panic buy, she is a Hoarder and wants locking up.

No pasta. At all (except the very fancy giant fusilli from Italian week). No corned beef. Six sad cans of tuna. Oil - olive and other - almost gone. All handwashes (not that I wanted any) gone. Deodorant almost gone, ditto toothpaste. Bog roll virtually stripped. Rather a lot of canned soup left, from which I deduce that it is Nasty.
Plenty of frozen peas, though  Also fresh produce.

But is there cat food? Enquiring moggies want to know.

In the shop? I didn’t look. In Oaf’s current stash - c.160 pouches and 50+ tiny tins, plus a full pack of biscuits. He is rather better provided for than I am
In a worst case scenario, therefore, I shall have to fatten him up as much as possible and then cook him, pore little fellow.

Or train him to keep you fed by bringing a constant supply of mice, small birds, neighbourhood children, etc.

(Yes, I know, but in tough times you have to relax your food standards a bit and not worry about what the children have been eating.)

Tsk. The Very Idea, Sparrer.

Actually, I am very happy to say that he has never brought me anything, alive or less so. Whereas Pidgelump did bring in very lively mice. I think she felt the exercise was good for me.

Oh, and in an entirely different sense, down with the vodotchka!
