'Twasn’t me that brought ice into the conversation; 'twas That Bird.
Make rather a good heraldic wossname, they would…
You were talking about it, though.
All right: no one, including Fishly-Dunnocks either severally or in unison,
talk to me about feckin’ ICE!
Thank you.
Is this a Pitcher I see before me?
I’m really sorry; it has * c * in it…
(swims away very fast and hides in the water-weed)
As well you might, young Fish.
No * i *e available for my gin and soda, as Mr Bee emptied out the trays when he defrosted the freezer. I don’t mind, really.
Our walk wozzan warm one. My scalp parting is abbit burnt and I should wear a hat, but it’s always bluddy windy, hereabouts. I’ve had three 'phone conversations with solitary people this afternoon. Tomorrow is Skyping Sis, Friday is Skyping Lovely Mate, Saturday is Skyping DS and DiL, Sunday is Skyping DD and SiL plus zooming in on local tories. Thus the week is mapped. I am not miserable, I just sound that way.

Off to bed, soon. I do hope that we all stay as safe and well as possible. A young person of my acquaintance (who has very much reduced lung function) feels that she has had quite enough of boring w#rk from home, so she’ll be volunteering for two days a week in the city. Her partner will be left to pick up the pieces, as ever. Sorry to be cryptic, but hey.
Good nights, Cellarites,

Soo, are you drinking gin and soda by choice or for lack of tonic?
Hi, Janie.
I find tonic a bit too sweet, these days, but I keep some in the hive for visitors. Meep.
Soo xx
Tonic water is indeed sweet. I had just been thinking the same thing. So, since we have a Sodastream, I bought some tonic cordial yesterday - ‘Split Tree Tonic No.3’. Hmm … it’s main ingredient after water may be cane sugar, but it’s not sweet and it is very different from Schweppes! An acquired taste, quite bitter. I shall persist (I have to, having splurged $12 CAD on the bottle).
