I’d be interested to find out how you go with it, Janie. A bitter taste would be better than sweet, to my palate.

In-ter-es-ting…
Yes, I shall try different concentrations. And maybe omit the gin (temporarily, of course!) to truly experience its taste. Could always switch to vodka, it might mix well with that, it says it does.
Oooo I could be interested…
Yes, especially as Janie intends to do the hard w#rk and omit the gin for research purposes, Twellsy. Such a trooper!

Surely the best way to evaluate its taste in a G&T would be to compare it with G minus the T?
I shall heroically assist with this endeavour. I may sing.
I will assist wiv the Vodka, Dunnock
Sodastreams have become very popular again

Should we let that wee birdie share the onerous task of G tasting?
Pours a dainty glass forra sparrer
Soo and I shall stick with our gin steins…

I have a treat for tonight
Gorgeous new potatoes from my friend who has an organic smallholding
They were dug this morning and will be our supper with a bit of dead cow
Simple things please this simple soul
I have simply retrieved a portion of vegetable sambar from the freezer to have with steamed greens and baby corn and rice. I rather fancy freshly dug pots and dead bovine, mind.

Oh, re: the Split Tree tonic, it seems to be available only in Canada but there will no doubt be a far greater choice of UK equivalents. Here’s one:
Now you tell me. And I’ve just poured the control glasses. Whatever shall I do?
Sing, Darling, sing.

You sing and we will dispose of the poured gin wee birdie
Yer all heart, Twellsy.
You could go ahead with the cordial-less part of the experiment and defer the other. Lots of things have to be deferred nowadays.
I’d rather be hearty than cordial anyway.
Ah, now I see why the Sodastream is enjoying a resurgence: side arm for self-defence when the bar axe/marlin spike is inconveniently out of reach.
Aye, away with those cursed Romance derivations words.
