That reminds me, our nearest chippy (at the top of the hill) has changed name. Maybe their opening hours will be a bit less baroque in future. Must go and find out some time.

Our nearest chippy changed its name, and its opening hours. And its ownership and its staff (who now all look about 12). And its fish & chips - they are now almost inedible.
It used to be so good too. I don’t know what the old owners were thinking of wanting to retire. Had they no sense of social responsibility?
You have to tell us Gus, or we’ll be imagining all sorts. Some of which may not reflect well on you.

Present restrictions mean that we are unable to collect takeaway food, let alone have such delivered (which is impossible at what was understood as the best of times). We have decided that a takeaway might happen once in six weeks and he wants a curry and I want sushi right now. Just as well we are remplit.
