Eeep! I should make some bread. Here is where I work out whether it is possible to knead bread one-handed.

I wouldn’t, Fishy

Steristrips need to be left in peace for a while. I would settle fer Boschbeast, or Breadmaker.

I am resorting to frozen pitta bread, meself

Tomorrow, perhaps?

Or see if That Sparrer fancies going all artisanal baker on you?

Or Soda bread, which can be mixed rather than kneaded

When did you injure your finger, Fishers? If the wound required steristrips, it will need to be left in peace until healed.

Despite the forecast assuring us of 17°C and cloud cover, our walk was uncomfortably hot, sunny and humid. One wozz almost pegging it on one’s return.

Injured it last thing last night, antiseptic and wopped on a plaster to hold the flap of skin in place, decided at about ten this morning that it was hurting more than it ought to and took off the plaster; bludbludblud and the flap of skin had turned grey… So I rang the doctor and explained, and was told to go to Minor Injuries at the local hospital, and did as I was told.

The nurse there said I had done precisely the right things, too. So I am a Good Fish and deserving and all like that.

Indeed you are, Fishers. Maybe best to avoid kneading dough forra while, though.

Fishy I use the hand mixer for small amounts of bread - saves getting mucky

I have an question for our chatelaine

I was in the haberdashery in the next town on the coast and I got some beautiful fabric 2.9 metres of this glorious slithery viscose type fabric with a print of summer flowers

Is that enough or a skirt?

…and possibly one hen. Two of the Noo Croo are (provisionally) Ruby and Rose, subject to revision in event of crowing.

You know, I’ve gone right off Rose as a name, even if the Pipspawn is officially ‘Rosie’.
Rita? Just a thort. Your chooks, after all. And a charming chicken might well reconcile me to Rose again anyway.
But ‘Ruby and Rita’ - well, sounds like material for a good old messy night out (London or Cardiff particularly).

Anyone else remember Romper Room, with the (rather scary) Miss Rosalyn?

I always do what’s right
I never do anything wrong
I’m a sanctimonious little prig Romper Room Do-Bee…

Now I think of it, it might not nave been shown outside the Anglia region?

ETA: Google he say:

“Even if”?

Yep. ‘Even if her official name isn’t Rose tout court it is nevertheless tainted by association. And remember to wash your hands vigorously for at least 20 seconds’.

Pore Chatelaine :kissing_heart:

I have managed to burn my hair parting and my forehead. Shan’t walk tomorrow, apart from shopping. I think that the reduction in road and air traffic is affecting the UV levels, round these parts.
