So, who wants to help... to perpetuate the cellar?

But on which axis? And in how many dimensions?

Poor Twellsy, hope it is better soon.

I am in the fortunate position of being sensitive to metronidazole and there is a note in my medical records that it must not be prescribed for me. I say fortunate, the process of discovering the sensitivity was no fun at all, but it does mean that I now have to be given (very expensive, which is the only reason the health services prefer metronidazole) alternatives which do happen to allow alcohol. Hurrah!

I discovered that they really really mean it when they say do not consume alcohol when my mother decided one wee drink won’t hurt
I was proper poorly for weeks and barely able to eat as that would start me off again

30 years ago I was taking Metronidazole for a gum infection. It wozz New Year’s Eve, Mr Bee wozz out on-call, Master Bee wozz a few months old. Friendly neighbour persuaded me that the wee bee and I should join her for a teeny drink. I capitulated, took a few sips of a bottled ‘snowball’ and spent the next few hours preferring the lure of death. Metronidazole is effective against anaerobic infections, but is an awful onslaught to one’s systems, imesho.
