I do bake some stuff, these days and try to cook. I gave up watching telly-stuff on these subjects a year or so ago, Carinthia, as:
a) I’m a miserable bee
b) I don’t want to eat that food

I do like cooking, & really miss sharing a meal with someone
I never did much baking anyway, as there are talented bakers in the Fambly, but I do love cooking.
Stepdaughter has made flapjack almost every week for the 36 years of their marriage
I would have been married for 40 years this year, & I suppose that soup has been the thing I have made most often

Late MiL made herself a cooked Lunch & some sort of pudding/ dessert every day. I used to think thatI would never be Harsed to peel 1 potato & cook it, & I don’t.

I do a fair amount of batch cooking/freezing so that there is usually summat in the freezer for days when I can’t be Harsed
It looks as though my favourite Chinese Takeaway, & the oldest Chinese Restyouraunt in the town may have gorn pop

Went there with Mum as children. A 3 course Set Lunch was 1 Shilling
We had to consider whether it could be afforded when it went up to one & sixpence…

Good grief, it is hot where you are! I put myself through the misery of air travel to avoid this kind of thing normally by coming to England at this time of the year, but for once it’s cooler where I am right now. Obviously at other times of the year we do get a bit cooler than you, as LadySusan can attest, having made a winter visit.
