Like the self-righting woodlouse, I think they’d do badly without it.

Have you found out what it is yet? There are lots of biblical nutters who really want to know.

No but I am hoping my cubit ruler is working on ash wood

As we have ash trees galore I consider ash to be a sustainable wood

Has anyone got a motor for a nark?

Tomorrow we shall have haircuts. First since 16th March, I think; or it may have been the week before.

Hair like mine just grows and looks better long

Mine grows like Bluddy grass but I still can’t be doing with it long.

When I was a child my mother’s hair was a yard long, & the most beautiful auburn colour. She used to pull one out, thread a needle & darn her stockings with it!

My grandmother had beautiful long, thick and glossy hair when she was young, which for some extraordinary reason she had cut off when she got married in 1927 - and I’ve got it! It’s in a box upstairs, gawd knows what’ll happen to it in the future but I couldn’t bear to part with it.

My mother had hers cut to shoulder length when she started to become ill, as it was so heavy, & she couldn’t deal with it. She had it cut even shorter as things got worse, because she couldn’t bear the Carers trying to deal with it.

She was 58 when she died, & was just beginning to grey a little at the temples. My brunette was much greyer when I was 58…

I had my hair cut ‘down to the bone’ (almost), when we four bees caught Head Lice from a fellow camper’s child, in France. Now (many years later) my hair is arranged in a bun, soon to progress to a chignon.

Tomorrow, DS and DiL intend to visit us. I hope that they do, as Food has been prepared. Plus, I really want to be with them.

Notta good day here, & I have felt Bleeeeurgh, so the clippers haven’t been used.

Prolly wise…

Gentle hugs for the hair, Carinthia.

The menu for tomorrow is ragu, for DS & me, cheesey veg bake, for DiL and Mr Bee, spaghetti, garlic pizza breads, ratatouille and loads of other stuff.
