Dear wee birdie I assure you no insult was intended - I just had a daft notion of a wee birdie a la seaside postcard
Stew with baked potatoes for supper, because it can be prepared in advance.
With finely turned ankles such as yours, Hedgers, I’d be happy to bare me lower legs.
It woz supposed to be fairly cool, today (according to the ‘forecast’), so I decided it would be far too hot and muggy for a walk We went a-shopping (the Edinburgh contingent arrive on Friday - more detail later) and it was too hot and muggy even for that. Groan. Still - the Fatted Calf has been slaughtered.

Oooo is Poodle coming to visit?
I caught a whiff of a Puppy, 'round these parts, Fishers. Any pics, or am I hallucinating. Again.
Soo xx
Yes. She’ll stay, while the other two bog off to Leeds to visit Family.
ETA - That, last, sounds twitter and bisted - we’re definitely not!
Soo xx
…sounds as if you are looking forward to having Poodle, undiluted by irrelevant bipeds. Which is understandable.
Ooo Poodle holidays with Grand owners
And what looks like a delightful puppy
Is it domiciled chez Fish/Bird?
Puppy is Utterly Gorgeous! I hope that the training goes well - can’t be harder than that necessary for a Poodle…
Yes, Gus - I’ll give the bipeds board and lodging then wave them on their happy way while we hold onto Herself.

Itizz an Beagle/Collie. Bets?
No, it is not living here. Feral likes computer cables un-chewed.
The collie half should be trainable easily
Training beagles is usually thought of as a job for Sisyphus or Heracles
Could be a successful hybrid. I have Good Feelings about That Puppy.
Soo xx
That Puppy is gorgeous, & will be training the household in short order…
Am cooking me taters…

The beagle/collie crossing was entirely unplanned. Well, except probably by the beagle and possibly by the collie.
The picture in which she is frog-dogging is because she saw, and followed with fascination, an ant.
She is a very good-looking Dog with a good streak of cleverness running through her (says mystic bee). I’d happily look after her for an hour or two and for much longer, once ‘settled’.

I would be up for dog sitting jobs
In my case it will depend on whether she is well-trained or not. I cannot away with spending hours chasing a dog that won’t come when it is called.
And she’d have to like The Pub…
Carinthia. xx
More to the point, they would have to like her!
