Tomorrow I have to drive ninety miles or so to get to the Filk Con, and I just hope the weather stays reasonable until I get home again.

I may not be back in here until Sunday… Play nicely!

Whereas I’m in tomorrow playing silly games, then hurtlin’ across the country on Sunday (dodging trees, bicycles, cows, etc. as I go). Actually even the yellow warning’s only on the coast, and we know how little it takes for a yellow warning.

Orf to me nest.

Buggrit.

Do try to be careful. Just because something has a bar sticking out horizontally does not make it a trapeze…

Waves back. Slightly breezy but we are bracing selves. Sufered a further crishing defeat at crib. Cooked a stonking kleftiko, though, so am currently Favourite Daughter (speaking as an only child).
Safe journeys and good health, Cellarites, and may the battens on your hatches be up to the job

One of my very favourites and the beginning of my love for Greek/Middle Eastern food.

I am manoeuvring toward the freezer as I type.

Any special cooking tricks for it welcome.

None of these is exactly revolutionary - and there are about 1m variants, each claiming to be the Real Thing. Enjoy yours.

Morning all from a glow in the dark old bat

A puddy tat has looked at me chest and then with X-ray contrast so I am like low levels of pollution but with a very short half life

I’d always treated it like a very slow cooked pot toast until on Kephalonia a few years ago we had it cooked, in a casserole of course, but wrapped & tied in paper with potatoes, carrots & lemon pieces along with cloves of garlic & lots of herbs all in the paper container.

Why that made it different than just straightforwardly in the casserole I don’t know, but it did.

As we are told that the next few days will be cold then this and later an oxtail stew (with dumplings) is being lined up.

I went back to bed after a dreadful night, & am starting the day again.

Am going to have a look in the freezer, which, sadly, doesn’t contain any oxtail ATM, but may well have other goodies…

It may well be shin beef, gravy & garlic mash…

Sounds fab, Carinthia. (Bah to the dreadful night.) We’ll be having crispy butterbean and kale mix-up - it tastes better than it sounds.
