So, who wants to help ... to rattle on in the cellar?

Hurrah!

My foot is worse than it was yesterday morning, and 111 has been singularly unhelpful; my pharmacist advises going to the Minor Injuries Clinic at the local hospital with it, because he thinks that on the whole it probably needs a course of antibiotics. Bah. Bye-bye Saturday…

Sorry to read that your foot is worse, but that is sound advice from your pharmacist.

I was going to suggest a ‘walk-in’ (!) Clinic, Fishy

The pharmacist is very wise - hit it with the big stuff now, so that you aren’t poorly for weeks, & at risk of cellulitis

Is our Gusly Friend still with you to keep you company ?

She is asleep, or at least not about yet. I don’t want to wake her; sleep is a Good Thing.

It is indeed. Don’t go out & leave her a note in the sugar bowl though- she would be cross !

It can wait till she wakes of herself whatever.

Keep your foot elevated, Fishers. But, you’ll know this.

It hurts worse that way! That was what woke me up.

Whimpering on a Fishy’s behalf here as said piscine is too stoic to whimper

And worriting too

Seriously I care and I also think that a Gusly/Fishy combo at walk in clinic will terrify medics to swift action

I’m sure that there’s no need to whimper, Twellsy

We can practise our Hard Stares fer when they are there…

Am going to BiL’s today & will be back tomorrow afternoon

Damn right I would have been. I also would not have found said note, not taking sugar…
I’ll leave the stoical but sore-finned one to update you, but we are home in one piece and eagerly awaiting More Rain

They say that it is gout, and have given me some codeine.

It is blowing a hooley here and doors keep slamming.

Ouch, Fishy

When I was a child, many houses (not ours) had an open sugar bowl on the kitchen table, where notes were left

Am at BiL’s & we are dining out on Indian this evening.

Y’know, there is nothing funny about gout. I have tried and failed. Totally unfair, Dear Fish.

I am doing my best to see the funny side, but it is hard to do that when one knows, as I do, that it may very well be a side-effect of the medication I have been trying for a year to get them to change because it has had a couple of other effects I dislike…

I would add that I did not know that until today, when it was noticed in the Big Book Of Side-Effects being consulted because her computer was on the fritz by the nice lady who told me what was wrong and prescribed me some nice codeine because she said I am not allowed to take brufen – in spite of the heart specialist having told me that brufen was ok so long as I don’t make a habit of it.

I am feeling comprehensively mucked about.
