Good cartoon!
I am going to take myself crossly to bed.
I hope that the codeine gives you some rest, Fishers.
Best dreams to you and all,
Soo xx

Blimey. I disapperate for a day and all Hell breaks loose.
Sorry about the foot Fishy. Not good at all. … & I imagine one of those things which makes you realise the benefit of unsore feet more than those what haves them.
We went to CarFest (North). It’s in a huge estate in Tattenhall, South of Chester owned by the Barbour family, of coatz & nats fame.
It’s a 3 day event … & there’s another in the South (&, before Soo says it, yes I understand that to you Cheshire IS in the South). We were there on Day 2 & had a lot of fun.
I’ve never been to a festibible of any kind and was blown away by the organisation. Lots of festivally things which come from experience, like battery charging stations, trolleys to pull small kids (& hacoutriments) around in. Inflatable settee’s that inflate by being waved about in the air.
The cars, food fest, Steam Tractors, Horse Jumping, circus acts gave way around 5pm to a music festival.
We watched Bananarama !!! Not words I expected ever to use. They sang about 15 x 3 minute essentially identical songs competently. Then a band called Reef who were vg, the Jools Holland (avec the wonderful Ruby Turner). Marc Almond didn’t turn up. He was always unreilable even when at Uni with me in Leeds.
Oh … & 90 minutes of an, apparently, famous Ibiza DJ (!!!). I still struggle with the concept of the DJ being a star. But, to be fair, he coaxed more life out of a tired crowd than anyone else managed.
3 songs from an execrable fat lad who’d come 2nd in Australian ‘The Voice’ (it HAS to be true coz I’d never be able to make this up) and part (before we decided to exit) of a set by Rick Astley who I can now confirm is the dullest man in pop music. I can honestly say the “We Gave Him Up”.
One period of being rained on. Properly so. We hid under canvas for that
Vast range of food options, food fayre, country goods & a ‘vintage’ area which made you feel you were in a Famous Five book.
Loads of cars. Some stunning ones.
Surprisingly, more toilets than even Mrs. Shanks needed.
Lovely setting.
A good day. It continues today but is currently hammering down. Glad I got Saturday tickets.
This should demonstrate road dangers here
