The First Mrs C was Bill’s sister, but they welcomed me into their family with open arms. I am still ‘Auntie Carinthia’ to their 2 children, who are in their early 50s.
The Lad will drive us,& it will be nice to be together to say goodbye

Mr Bee wishes that he felt ‘properly right’, Twellsy. He’s not poorly, just ‘meh’. The bean stew sounds lush. I’ll be cooking seabass with rosted fennel, potatoes, olives and tomatoes. Feta, pour moi.
BiL behaved himself and no politics were discussed. We are diametrically opposed, so no discussion could ever help in this.
I hope that you are able to enjoy family time together, Carinthia. Funerals are often the only times I see many of my extended family.
It’s peeing down with rain and is very chilly. I am mindful of the yardarm…
