I need gin as I am rallying

With three blooming rule books to comply with

And at least four championships

My head hurts

Bin.

I have to go shopping; someone broke a plate, and the usual teaspoon attrition has taken place so that we only have seven, which is fine for two but not adequate for ten when we have a Gathering. This means a razzia to John Lewis, the closest place for those plates and spoons; and while there I can also get curtain cord to use as dressing-gown cord.

There is a pattern to everything.

In the Olden Days, when Fred was in charge at Fred’s Haberdashery, they used to sell dressing gown cords - those wretched silky slippery ones, which didn’t keep body or soul or dressing gown together

They did quite a good sideline in tying them up to make cheap curtain tie- backs too

“A plundering and destructive incursion; a foray; a raid.”

Meanwhile I am clearing up the bar.

Buzzing in to help, as the kindly bee wot I izz.

That Poodle has left with two of her fans. We are strangely bereft.

Father’s Day was fine. We had lunch out with the Family. My choice of main course was not nice, really. It was a kale salad, with garlic prawns, crushed peanuts, red onion and sugar snap peas, served with a yoghurt and mint dressing. My teeny bee brain had imagined roasted kale and more than 3 prawns. Oops. Now I remember why I used to think of kale as cattle feed. We intend much better stuff for Carinthia, when she visits next weekend.

Hugs for Gus.

The excitement never ends… I’m sorting out the light bulb stores.

Light bulbs sorted, & about half of them packed up for Freecycle. And everything left fits in the cupboard, in two boxes (“bayonet and bipin” and “screw”).

I likes LEDs I does.

And a new bunch of 3d printing is on (emergency extry-cheap nozzle is doing very nicely so far).
