Tardigrades

I was half asleep at the time, but I am fairly sure that last night I heard someone on the World Service talking about some new spacecraft that are being planned, and he said that they were going to have tardigrades on them because they are virtually indestructible.

I’m not sure how they were going to report home when they got somewhere, but yay! for the space-age tardigrades!

Which, if ever they escape to land on another planet, could become a space age version of the Cane Toad in Australia.

Given a couple of million years evolution and they’ll be back to take over the planet.
