Dear Lord. There are some extraordinarily stupid people around, if they are not Russian shills.
Someone on a board local to here is asserting as fact that the current outbreak of riots was āstirred up by HNHā ie by Hope Not Hate. What that organisation did was warn people on their website that there might be a bunch of thugs in the town centre yesterday, and that the shops and market might be closed so it would be a good idea to check with them before going to them. I am sure she believes what she is saying. Probably. She also claims to be able to quote the Koran because she is widely readā¦

We donāt actually know he was a Christian. He was seventeen: he may have been at that phase of adolescence which denies religion fervently because it is something his parents espouse. (Coming from Rwanda even his parents may have been nominal Christians but not observant much once they didnāt have to be, too.)
I donāt think the police are cheering on people attacking them and injuring them, setting fire to cars and buildings, and looting; the police are rarely in favour of these things.

I have reports from several places of police cheering on the National Front EDL marchers right up to the point the vandalism and violence start.
