My suspicion is that “The Donald” is deliberately putting “nut-jobs” forward so he can see which of his party’s senators vote against their confirmation: then they can be labelled “RINOs” and moves started to discredit them, get them pushed out, and replaced with loyal yes-men … a bit scary.
