As long as you remember that they’re just the booster for the actual missile, that gives you a proper sense of their longevity.

I’m reminded of one of the final scenes, in the movie Dr Strangelove whereSlim Pickens, playing the pilot of the only un-recalled B52 bomber, ends up riding the bomb he’s just dropped, down to the Russian missile-base below.
I think the designers of the 104, were greatly influenced by that scene.
