Up the RA! (didn’t know they had an LGBTQI+++ wing, but hey.- how else were they going to infiltrate MI5?)

I like the colour graduation in that, but am scratching my face already.

Skiing friend used to have one, but with a peaked front, so that it looked a bit more structured. A sort of ‘cap with a face cover’.

I have just had to dismantle the sewing machine to get out a piece of thread about one inch long that had got stuck inside it and was impeding the movement so that it kept jamming.

Grrr.

Yes, that’s Bluddy annoying, isn’t it?

A pair of tweezers can be very useful for teasing out threads.

An thought

When lots of them gather under the throat plate, it’s called a ‘thread nest’.

That Birdie been acting suspiciously?

It was just the one inch piece!

No, but the sewing was a kaftan for That Bird I was making.

I realise this may be hard to believe, but “do not build your nest inside machinery” is actually on the curriculum at Avian School. (And I may not even have been bunking off that day. So hard to remember.)

I have just been ordered a mahoosive anti-kitten suitable for 250g balls of yarn (or twine or whatever, but it will be mostly yarn.

I just hope the favourable reviews are more accurate for this particular example than the unfavourable ones…

And no sooner had I posted than it arrived! I have wound it around a bit and the reviews complaining that it is noisy aren’t right, so that’s a start. Fitting it together completely may take a little while, but there is an instruction-sheet.

I finally finished an orange vortex shawl for me; took me a month. I’m a bit cross because flaws in the yarn have made “pulls” in the knitting, but that’s not something I can do anything about at this point.

Spectacular, Fishy. And stunning colours.
