Not sure what Dundee Wumman is standing on but she looks too tall. I’ve tripped over met Dundonians.
That’s something I’d love to see, Soo. Ta.

Having torn a favourite pair of trousers across the arse, I’ve tried a bit of visible mending. We’ll see if it holds up.
Coo! That’s brilliant, I’m impressed.
Genius here has noticed that it is upside down in relation to the trousers. Oh well. Can’t imagine anyone will be looking too closely unless they happen to have a new wide-angle lens they want to try.
Maybe I should add ‘The Mended Bum’ above/ below.
Really good way to get the most wear out of a pair of trousers
And it’s pretty too
That’s really lovely, Dahlink.

Plausible rumours that the owner of the four big sewing-pattern producers is selling them off piecemeal. (No link, I don’t trust the site I got it from.) If you have been thinking about buying patterns, now may be a very good time.
I have completed knitting 210th square for the quilt, and now have to apply the monogram for the two for whom it is intended to one of the squares before pinning them all to an old sheet to get them in the right order before crocheting them together. At this rate it might even be done by Christmas, or nearly so.
What a labour of love, Fishy.
Let me know when you are crocheting them together, & I will light the Extry Extry Candle for you.
My Mother crocheted an single bedspread of 3.5” Granny Squares & couldn’t be spoken to until she had 3 or 4 lengths crocheted together… ![]()
Suffice to say that she didn’t make the planned 2nd one…
My brother had it on his bed for 50 years though. ![]()

The first thing I ever crocheted was a double bedspread for my mother in 4-inch squares in all the colours of autumn, tied together with brown; it was on her spare bed for (counts on fingers) about forty years, but I have no idea what happened to it after my father died and the house was sold.
Gawds, that’s impressive, even in that state.
Lights Extry Extry Candle.

I have 3 lights on here, as itizz so gloomy.
I hope that you can see your squares.

What you see in that photo is one-third of the length of the bedspread; five rows done, ten to go. The squares are being pinned individually to a double-bed sheet (not the one which will be used for final backing, but a random one).
The order in which the squares are to go on the sheet is written on a chart. They were randomised in a computer, and there will be a little manual fine-tuning once they are all in place, to make sure two colours which fight horribly are not placed next to each other, nor yet two of the same colour. After that comes the real labour, first joining each row of fourteen squares and then each column of fifteen. That is when it stops being work that can easily be carried around!
I take my frilly cap off to you, Fishers.

Put it somewhere safe, wee Bee, or it will end up Pinned to summat…
